
North Dakota guard Kacie Borowicz has earned the first Summit League Women’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week award for the 2023-24 season. Borowicz was the lone Summit League player during the opening week to score 20-plus in two contests as she racked up her fifth career weekly honor.
Borowicz opened the season by pouring 29 points on 11-of-17 shooting from the floor in a road loss at Wyoming. She also went 6-for-8 from the foul stripe and added three rebounds against the Cowgirls.
In UND’s home opener against Grand Canyon, the Roseau, Minn., native led all scorers with 20 points and also equaled her career-high with five steals against the Lopes.For the week, Borowicz averaged 24.5 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 3.0 apg and 3.0 spg for the Fighting Hawks.
