No injuries were reported when a North Dakota Highway Patrol vehicle was hit by a semi along on I-94 on Monday night.
Authorities say a trooper was providing traffic control near a Morton County construction zone that was blocked for a crash. The driver of a semi lost control striking the patrol car on the side. The trooper was seated in the vehicle.
The semi stopped briefly and then drove away. A second trooper was able to stop the truck driver who was cited for leaving the scene… failure to give notice of a reportable crash…and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
