An icy stretch of I-94 west of Oriska (ND) is blamed in part on a fatal rollover accident early Saturday morning (1:15 a.m.)
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the 50 year of driver of the pickup lost control and entered the ditch. The vehicle rolled coming to rest along the fence line. Both the victim and a 42 year old female passenger were ejected.
The woman was transported by Barnes County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Valley City and later Sanford in Fargo with serious injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
