A 69 year old Fargo man faces charges after sideswiping a squad car and leaving the scene of the accident last night (Tuesday).

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the trooper was stopped partially on the outside lane of I-94 in Fargo to assist a motorist in a disabled vehicle. With emergency lights activated the suspect driver hit the push bumper of the patrol vehicle.

The trooper wasn’t able to pursue the driver but was able to get the license plate. Fargo police located the suspect at a residence. He was identified as Timothy Rosendahl. Charges include leaving the scene of an accident and DUI.

The trooper and a female from the disabled vehicle were not injured.
