The Grand Forks Fire Department was called out Monday after a trailer used for the application of asphalt caught fire.
Crews were dispatched to the 1600 block of North 48th Street around 10:15 a.m. When they arrived on scene they found the trailer significantly involved in flames. Due to the construction of the trailer the blaze was difficult to put out. With the assistance of personnel from the Strata Corporation the firefighters were able to gain access and extinguish the flames.
The GFFD responded with five engines…one truck…a command vehicle…and twenty personnel. There were no injuries.
