GF O-K’s bid for 2024 road project

By Doug Barrett Oct 17, 2023 | 8:55 AM

The Grand Forks council approved a bid last night (Monday) to finish the work on the 32nd Avenue South reconstruction project.

This past construction season crews laid down a new coat of asphalt to smooth out the pothole riddled roadway. The city and state delayed concrete repairs when bids came in 173% over engineer estimates.

Those concrete repairs will now take place next year at a cost of $1.59 million dollars – or 23% above estimates.

The North Dakota DOT still needs to concur with the bid package. The city’s share of the bill is 10%.
