GFPD ID’s suspect in tire slashing case

An arrest warrant has been issued for a 31-year old man in connection with a rash of tire slashings in north Grand Forks earlier this month.

Grand Forks police say Mathew Morris is wanted in connection with the damage to over 50 vehicles that occurred during the overnight hours of October 1st and 2nd. The damage occurred in the area of the 1700-2300 block of 9th and 10th Avenue North. A total of 83 tires were damaged at a cost in excess of $17,000 dollars.

The arrest warrant is for Felony Criminal Mischief. Morris is not in custody. Anyone with information is urged to contact the GFPD.
