Groundbreaking ceremonies have been held (Tuesday) for the Memorial Village II development and adjacent Albrecht Field in Grand Forks.
The project along University Avenue includes mixed use living on the top floors – commercial space on the lower level – plus a collegiate softball complex with seating for 500. The stadium is expected to be completed by the fall of next year. The groundbreaking is one of many events taking place on campus this week to celebrate Homecoming.
On Friday a ribbon cutting ceremony is planned for UND’s new Experimental Learning Center.
Also on Friday the grand opening of the Wilkerson Quad located between Brannon, McVey and West halls.
