Grand Forks School Board members are getting a look at what a new Valley Middle School might look like. Architects will present the latest design findings to the board on Monday.
The building footprint totals 83,886 square feet of space. The outside will feature a combination of brick…metal panels…and precast materials. The new school was a main component of the $79 million dollar referendum approved by voters in May.
According to a staff report the school features an outdoor learning courtyard that faces University Park. The main entry to the building will still be off 5th Avenue North. Construction will begin next spring.
