The hiring of Devils Lake Superintendent Matt Bakke to be the next Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education in the Grand Forks School District remains on hold.
Bakke’s resignation to the Devils Lake School Board still has not been accepted. D-L board members this morning (Wednesday) did agree to offer the position to Wahpeton Principal Ned Clooten.
Board President Corey Meyer says pending successful contract negotiations the hiring could be finalized at the July 27th board meeting.
The other finalists for the Devils Lake job were Drayton Superintendent Cheryl Petersen and Dakota Prairie Superintendent Jay Slade.
