A motorcycle accident near New Salem (ND) over the weekend left a 56-year old Minot woman dead.
The North Dakota Patrol says Tami Petersen-Ness was riding with another biker on County Road 139 when she clipped the other rider and entered the ditch. Petersen-Ness was transported to a hospital in Bismarck and pronounced deceased. The 37-year old rider of the other bike stayed upright and was not injured. The two women were among a group of 60 motorcycles when the accident occurred.

A 37-year old Fargo woman is hospitalized after falling from a golf cart Saturday night in Mapleton (ND). The North Dakota Patrol says Ashley Tangedal was a passenger who was ejected when the cart made a left turn. Authorities says the driver – 43-year old Erin Brousseau of Mapleton – was arrested for criminal vehicular injury. The crash remains under investigation.

A 59-year old Harwood (ND) man escaped injury after crashing his SUV into a utility pole in the city Saturday evening. The North Dakota Patrol says Daniel Chiarella hit the pole around 6:30 p.m. causing several power lines to fall into the ditch. The crash did not impact electrical service to the Harwood area. The driver was cited for DUI.
