The body of a missing 71-year old Minnesota fisherman has been recovered from Leech Lake.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Department received a report on Monday that the victim failed to return to his home near Walker (MN) after being out on the water. Authorities searched the lake and located the fisherman’s boat on the east shore around 8:15 p.m.
Search teams went out again on Tuesday and found the man’s body around 6:30 p.m. in the area of Sucker Bay. An autopsy is scheduled with the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Assisting with the search and recovery was the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office, and the Lakes Area Dive Team.
