By Doug Barrett Jul 10, 2023 | 8:20 AM

Grand Forks recorded its fourth largest sales tax payment in June. The local tax generated over $3.26 million dollars last month. That pushes collections for the year to nearly $15.7 million dollars – or up better than 7% over one year ago. The June payment was just 193-thousand dollars short of the all-time record set in September 2022. The one-quarter percent restaurant/lodging component of the local sales tax is up over 8% compared to last year at this time.
