ND boardings are taking off

Commercial air travel in North Dakota climbed 8% in May of this year. Six of the eight commercial service airports had over the year increases led by Fargo which posted a record for boardings at nearly 41,000.

The Grand Forks Airport saw a slight decrease in passenger numbers. The GFK saw 7,369 people pass through the turnstyles during the month. Traffic for 2023 to date is up over three-percent.

The overall passenger demand throughout the state remains healthy with the average load factor currently at 79-percent.
