Home sales in Grand Forks – East Grand Forks posted their largest tally of the year in June. A total of 95 homes…townhomes…and condos exchanged hands last month. That equals the number of properties sold in June of 2022. According to the Grand Forks Area Association of Realtors a total of 312 sales have occurred so far 2023. The average price last month was just shy of $301,000 dollars. The numbers do not include private sales.
A recent forecast by Realtor.com calls for the average rate on a 30-year mortgage to drop to 6% by the end of the year. Lower rates could motivate some homeowners to sell, adding more sorely needed inventory to the market.
