The Devils Lake School Board has narrowed the search for a new superintendent to three finalists.
During a meeting today (Monday) the board scheduled interviews with Drayton Superintendent Cheryl Peterson…Wahpeton’s Ned Clooten… and Dakota Prairie Superintendent Jay Slade for Friday and Monday.
Current Superintendent Matt Bakke has submitted a letter of resignation to become the next Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education in the Grand Forks School District. The Devils Lake Board tabled action on the resignation until a meeting July 19th.
If approved Bakke would likely begin his new duties in Grand Forks on July 31st.
