This is “Fair Week” in Grand Forks.
The Greater Grand Forks Fair opens at 4:00 PM on Wednesday…and continues through Sunday.
As usual, the Fair will feature 4-H exhibits, midway rides, auto racing, and food vendors.and Mark Landa of the Fair Board says there will be live entertainment each day.
“We’ve got the Johnny Holm Band coming back on Wednesday night to open the Fair,” Landa said. “Thursday, we’ve got a young woman out of South Dakota, Lizzy Hofer (and her band), who plays a lot of country and some pop. Friday, there’s Ashley Wineland, who’s a country singer originally from Arizona, but her band’s out of Nashville. Saturday we’ve got Rowan Grace, who was on ‘The Voice’ last fall. Sherwin Linton comes and plays for our senior lunch on Sunday.”
There’s a special lunch-time event on Thursday from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Gate admission is free — and food vendors will be open.
Otherwise, the Fair opens at 4:00 PM Wednesday and Thursday… and at noon Friday through Sunday.
Admission is $10 for those 15 and older… and $5 for those age 7 to 14. Kids 6 and under get in free.
A fireworks show is scheduled Saturday at dusk.
