An early morning (Tuesday) fire has destroyed a mobile home in East Grand Forks (MN).
The East Grand Forks Fire Department responded to the call at 109 Venus Drive NE shortly after 2:00 a.m. When crews arrived on scene they found 50% of the mobile home already engulfed in flames. It took fire teams about an hour to bring the blaze under control. The home was deemed a total loss. There were no injuries.
The preliminary cause of the fire is listed as improperly discarded smoking materials. The value of the home was put at $30,000 dollars.
Fire Department responded with three engines, an aerial and 20 personnel. East Grand Forks
Police Department and Altru Ambulance assisted on scene. The American Red Cross is
assisting two displaced residents.
