Minnesota Governor Tim Walz today (Thu) signed what he called the biggest infrastructure bill in state history.
Walz says the $2.6 billion plan will help pay for hundreds of projects that will create jobs and bring long-term benefits to communities across the state.
The governor says the measure will keep drinking water clean… roads and bridges safe… and communities protected from flooding.
The bill invests $501 million for water infrastructure projects… $403 million for transportation infrastructure, including local roads and bridges… and $72 million for public housing rehabilitation.
Walz signed the bill in downtown Minneapolis near the Mississippi River.
