Update 2:00 PM Monday:
A Grand Forks man is charged with attempted murder and reckless endangerment following a Sunday-morning shooting incident.
Police responded to a weapons violation complaint around 9:00 AM on the 1200 block of South Columbia Road.
Authorities say 25-year-old Omar Martinez allegedly fired one round at a car occupied by a man and a juvenile. No injuries were reported.
Grand Forks District Court documents accuse Martinez of intentionally shooting at the adult, Rey Sosa.
Police say the incident apparently stemmed from a confrontation the night before … and was targeted between the parties, who are known to each other.

Grand Forks police are looking for a male subject in connection with a Sunday morning shooting incident.
Authorities responded to a weapons violation complaint around 9:00 a.m. on the 1200 block of South Columbia Road. Officers determined that the suspect fired one round at a car occupied by the victim and a juvenile.
The GFPD says it appears the incident stemmed from a confrontation the night before and was targeted between the parties known to each other. There were no injuries.

It was the first of two shots fired calls Sunday morning. The other occurred on the 1100 block of North Columbia Road just before 10:00 a.m. The GFPD says an Emerado (ND) man was arrested for allegedly waving a gun at a passing vehicle. The 33-year old suspect is facing a terrorizing charge. No shots were fired. No one was injured.
