
A bill that would criminalize abortions after six weeks of gestation — even in cases of rape or incest – is headed to Gov. Burgum’s desk.
The North Dakota Senate today (Wed) voted 42-to-5 in favor of the amended measure that was passed by the House 76-to-14 on Monday.
Of the four Democrats in the Senate, only Tim Mathern of Fargo voted for the bill.
Two Republicans voted no: Sen. Karen Krebsbach of Minot and Sen. Judy Lee of Fargo.
