NDHP: Two crashes leave four dead

A rollover accident on Highway 2 in western North Dakota has left a 34 year old female driver with serious injuries and two juvenile passengers dead.
According to the North Dakota Patrol the pick-up was westbound near Berthold (ND) when the driver lost control due to ice and overturned in the median. The accident occurred around 11:45 p.m. last night (Monday).  Authorities say the driver and female passengers…ages 12 and 13…were all ejected. One juvenile came to rest on the roadway and was struck by an empty semi-trailer. The other juvenile came to rest in the median and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The NDHP says none of the occupants were wearing seat-belts.

Three male teens in a pickup collided with an Amtrak train near Springbrook (ND) last night.
The North Dakota Patrol says the 17-year old driver approached a marked rail crossing and was struck by the train pushing the vehicle down the tracks. The accident occurred around 8:15 p.m.
The driver sustained serious injuries and has been transferred to a Minot hospital.
Two passengers… 15-year old and a 17 year old…died in the crash. Both were from Williston (ND).
The accident remains under investigation.
