EGF search begins for new superintendent

By Doug Barrett Mar 29, 2023 | 8:28 AM

The East Grand Forks School Board will enlist the services of the Minnesota School Boards Association in the search for a new superintendent.

The board approved the plan last night (Monday) at a cost of some $9,000 dollars.  Board President Brandon Boespflug says MSBA officials feel confident about finding a good pool of candidates for the district to interview.

Current Superintendent Mike Kolness will leave the district at the end of the school year after seven years on the job.  He will assumed new role with the Kindred (ND) school system.

Boespflug says the goal is to have a new superintendent – or an interim leader – named by the time Kolness leaves on June 30th.
