A two pick-up crash on Highway 59 on Sunday left one driver dead and the other driver and a passenger hospitalized. The Minnesota State Patrol says 86-year old Oliver Kimbro of Oklee (MN) collided with a vehicle driven by 66-year old Dale Brekke of Oklee. Kimbro suffered fatal injuries in the accident. He was not wearing a seat-belt. Brekke was transported to Sanford in Fargo while his passenger 57-year old Shelley Brekke was taken to Sanford in Thief River Falls. The H-P described the injuries as non-life threatening. Authorities say ice and snow may have contributed to the accident.

A Saturday afternoon rollover accident in Minnesota’s Grant County on Saturday claimed the life of a 67 year old Minneapolis woman. Sandra Hill was a passenger in a van driven by 56-year old Bryan Sorenson of Williston (ND). The Minnesota State Patrol says Sorenson was heading east on I-94 when the vehicle left the road and rolled. Hill was pronounced dead at the scene. Sorenson was not injured. The roads were said to be ice and snow covered at the time of the accident.
