EGF looking to fill leadership role

By Doug Barrett Mar 17, 2023 | 9:15 AM

The East Grand Forks council is hoping to have a pool of internal and external candidates to fill the role of interim city administrator by the March 28th work session.

The council set the target date this week – one week after hiring the firm David Drone Associates to help in the recruitment of a permanent leader. Current Administrator David Murphy is leaving for a similar role in St. Joseph (MN).

Murphy says he’s been in contact with a couple of people – but no one has agreed to be a potential candidate…yet. He says one of the challenges has been location.

In a staff report Murphy says generally speaking an interim administrator works around 24 hours per week at an hourly rate of $75 dollars – with soft costs built in.

Murphy’s last day on the job is April 21st.
