A 35-year old Grand Forks man faces numerous charges in connection with an attempted robbery at the Orton’s station last night.
Grand Forks Police say the suspect entered the gas station at 2002 South Washington just after 9:00 p.m. The man brandished a black handgun and made statements about the cash register before fleeing in a vehicle.
GFPD officers spotted the suspect vehicle several hours later driving in the area of Rumor’s Bar. The suspect – identified as Marquis Burns – was driving the vehicle. Burns was arrested on charges of attempted robbery…terrorizing…possession of a stolen handgun…and driving with a suspended license.
