Faced with a 7-point-6 million-dollar budget shortfall, NDSU President David Cook set out a plan to help recover some lost ground while protecting the services offered to students. The shape of that plan was released today by President Cook. He says it includes the merger of the school’s colleges from the current seven, down to five – for starters.
Cook says part of that investment is designed to help retain and recruit students in the region. He says the idea is to align the University with the bigger mission of meeting the workforce needs of North Dakota.
Cook says the plan will “tee-up” the University to make it through the upcoming biennium and those that follow.
