EGF to look at all administrator options

By Doug Barrett Mar 1, 2023 | 8:14 AM

East Grand Forks officials say the pending departure of Administrator David Murphy is an opportunity to review the inner workings at city hall.

Council member Clarence Vetter floated the idea at last night’s (Tuesday) work session of combining the position with the EDA director’s role to save money.

Mayor Steve Gander says the good news is the city has the time to consider all options.

Murphy is leaving April 21st for a similar position in St. Joseph (MN).

Members also looked over a list of potential interim candidates from the League of Minnesota Cities.

The council will look over proposals for hiring a national recruiting firm in two weeks.
