A Felton (MN) semi driver was sentenced Monday to 60 days in jail for the July 2021 crash on Highway 2 that left one person dead and eleven injured. 56-year old Steven Piechowski hit the back of the victim’s passenger car in a construction zone near Airport Road. The chain reaction accident involved eight vehicles and 17 people. Piechowski pleaded guilty to negligent homicide and six other charges. In addition to the 60 days confinement at the Grand Forks County Correction Center he will be placed on electronic home monitoring for an additional 60 days.
