East Grand Forks will begin the task of finding a new administrator after accepting the resignation of David Murphy last night (Tuesday).
Mayor Steve Gander says Murphy is leaving on good terms and he thanked him for his years of service. Murphy is leaving East Grand Forks for a similar role in St. Joseph (MN). His last day on the job is April 21st.
Gander says that will give the city time to find a replacement. “This allows us two months to set up the process for hiring a new city administrator including the possibility of an interim administrator to bridge the gap.”
Murphy will begin his new job in St. Joseph on April 24th.
