A 41-year-old Bismarck woman convicted of plotting her husband’s death with the help of another man has been sentenced to life in prison with a chance of parole. Nikki Entzel was sentenced Friday in the 2019 death of her 42-year-old husband, Chad Entzel. Prosecutors said she and 42-year-old Earl Howard, of Ontario, Canada, were in a relationship and conspired to kill Chad Entzel to collect life insurance payments. Police found Chad Entzel’s body in a burning home northeast of Bismarck. Entzel must serve 85% of her sentence before being eligible for parole. Howard was sentenced in October 2021 to 25 years in prison.
