Wahpeton Police are investigating a fatal shooting.
Authorities say the shooting occurred at an intersection near the Stern Sports Arena shortly after 7:00 last night. Officers found a wounded man outside a car in the street and began life-saving measures. The victim was transported to the Breckenridge hospital where he died.
A potential suspect is described as 6’2″…wearing jeans…a black hoodie…and a black mask. Police don’t believe there’s any current danger to the public.
Police are asking residents living in the neighborhoods where the shooting happened to check their home security cameras for anything suspicious.
