An Oklee (MN) man who was convicted of stabbing his wife to death has been sentenced to 40 years in prison.

Eric Reinbold, 46, was found guilty by a jury in Thief River Falls in September.

An investigation showed that his wife, Lissette Reinbold, 34, was stabbed 27 times. She was found by one of the couple’s children.

Eric Reinbold was on the run for nearly a month following the July 2021 death.

While in jail, he assaulted a guard in an escape attempt.
