The Three Affiliated Tribes in North Dakota are the proud owners of a chunk of land on the Las Vegas strip. The MHA Nation purchased the 13 acre parcel across from the Luxor and Mandalay resorts from MGM.
Under the agreement two acres of the 15 acre site will be reserved and retained by MGM for the purpose of establishing a memorial on the site that was the scene of the 2017 shooting tragedy that left 60 people dead.
Three Affiliated tribes had previously purchased eight acres of Las Vegas property.
Although no specific plans have been announced for the parcel Tribal Chairman Mark Fox says revenue realized from the business venture will continue to help fund important tribal projects and program development on Fort Berthold and for its membership.
A purchase price was not disclosed.
