Authorities say a 43-year-old Minnesota man has been charged for his alleged involvement in a Wednesday afternoon shooting incident in the Fargo area.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says Derrick Hansen of Plymouth is being charged with felony reckless endangerment … misdmeanor criminal mischief… and misdemeanor driving under the influence of drugs.
Hansen was arrested after authorities made what they called a high-risk traffic stop.
Troopers responded to a report of a reckless driver/road rage incident on I-94 around 3:00 p.m.
A driver allegedly discharged a firearm at passing vehicles. One vehicle reported a broken window from a gunshot. Authorities located the suspect vehicle near Mapleton … and Hansen was taken into custody.
Troopers say a .177 caliber CO2 pistol was recovered during the investigation.

A suspect is in custody after law enforcement made what they call a high-risk traffic stop in the Fargo area Wednesday afternoon.
According to the North Dakota Patrol troopers responded to a report of a reckless driver / road rage incident on I-94 around 3:00 p.m. The incident involved a driver that allegedly discharged a firearm at passing vehicles. One vehicle reported a broken window from a gunshot. Authorities located the suspect vehicle near Mapleton – and one individual was placed into custody.
Traffic impacts were said to be minimal. The scene was cleared after about an hour. The Cass County Sheriff’s Department assisted during the incident. No other details were released.
