Former State Senate Minority Leader Mac Schneider has been confirmed to serve as North Dakota U.S. Attorney.
Schneider was nominated by President Biden in September and was confirmed by unanimous consent in the Senate.
During his stint in the Senate from 2009-16 Schneider represented District 42 in Grand Forks.
He has a private practice in Fargo and Grand Forks.
Schneider graduated from the Georgetown University Law School. He replaces acting U.S. Attorney Jennifer Puhl.
