Grand Forks Public Health will offer both influenza and COVID-19 vaccines Wednesdays in October. The clinics will be held at Grand Forks Public Health, 151 S 4th St, Suite N301, from 12:00–4:00 p.m.
“As we head into fall and winter seasons, it’s time to think about flu and COVID-19 risks. With the cooler weather, we begin to spend more time indoors, and this means there is more opportunity for diseases to spread. In addition, flu season is approaching,” said Dr. Joel Walz, Grand Forks Public Health Officer. “To protect against these two threats, we strongly recommend that community members 6 months and older get their annual flu vaccine and get the new bivalent COVID-19 booster when eligible.”
COVID-19 vaccine is free of charge, no insurance is necessary. For influenza vaccine, insurance will be billed. Insurances accepted at GFPH include Medicare Part B, ND Medicaid, Sanford, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Flu vaccine will also be available for those who are uninsured or underinsured at no-cost.
