By Doug Barrett Sep 29, 2022 | 7:29 AM

A Sauk Rapids (MN) man has pleaded guilty to a federal charge of selling “ghost guns.” According to the U.S Attorney’s Office 21-year old Jay Olson made and sold unserialized firearms to an individual for $20,000 dollars.

During a conversation with a confidential informant Olson stated the price for each firearm would be going up because of the federal government’s recent initiative targeting ghost guns. In April the informant purchased 16 ghost guns and nine high capacity magazines plus a silencer and accessories.

Olson’s home was searched in May and investigators recovered manufacturing tools…firearm assembly kits…and a Glock firearm assembly diagram.

A sentencing date is pending.
