A Saturday morning motorcycle accident in Itasca (MN) killed a 24-year-old woman.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a large group of motorcycles was northbound on Highway 169 south of Smith Lake.
Shortly before 11:30 AM, troopers say the group braked rapidly, causing the Harley Davidson at the rear of the pack to lose control and swerve toward a ditch.
The cycle went down on its side, causing fatal injuries to the passenger, Kristine Grover… and non-life-threatening injuries to the driver, 50-year-old John Max.
Neither Grover nor Max were wearing helmets. Their home towns were not listed.
