Mund files petitions for November election

By Doug Barrett Sep 7, 2022 | 9:05 AM

Cara Mund is one step closer to getting her name on the fall ballot.

The Independent candidate for Congress turned her petitions in to North Dakota’s Secretary of State on Tuesday.  The former Miss America says the petitions contained some 2,600 names – more than the 1,000 minimum requirement.

Mund says she had no problem collecting signatures around the state.

Mund will challenge incumbent Republican Kelly Armstrong in November.  The Democratic endorsed candidate Mark Haugen has suspended his campaign.
