Vacant trailer burns in Fargo

Fargo firefighters extinguished a fire at 753 Countryside Trailer Court. When crews arrived they found a trailer that was fully engulfed in flames. Neighbors stated the trailer was vacant.

A second trailer house directly north was also starting to burn due to the amount of fire coming out of the windows.  There were reports of a male inside the home who was not able to easily self evacuate.  Crews quickly removed the male and extinguished the fire on the second trailer.

Other crews ensured no other trailers were in danger and then extinguished the original trailer.  Both fires were under control in under 20 minutes.

A post-fire search of the original trailer confirmed it was unoccupied.  The male who was evacuated is being assisted by the Red Cross with temporary shelter.  Fargo Fire responded with 19 personnel.  We were assisted by Fargo PD, Sanford Ambulance, the Salvation Army, and Red Cross.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
