An early morning fire destroyed a mobile home in Emerado.
The Emerado Fire Department responded to the blaze on the 400 block of East Emery Avenue around 12:45 a.m. When crews arrived on scene the mobile home was fully engulfed in flames. Neighboring homes were evacuated as a safety precaution.
The mobile home was unoccupied at the time of the fire. There no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is unknown and is still under investigation. A damage estimate was not immediately available.
The Emerado Fire Department was assisted by the Emerado Police Department, the Grand Forks County Sheriff’ Office, Grand Forks AIr Force Base Fire Department, Thompson Fire Department, Altru Ambulance, and Excel Energy.
