ND traffic stop finds $840,000 in drugs; 3 arrested

Three men from Washington state face federal drug charges after being found with an estimated $840,000 in drugs during a routine traffic stop by a North Dakota state trooper. 

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the stop occurred Tuesday afternoon on I-94, about 13 miles east of Bismarck.

A search of the rented vehicle discovered about six pounds of methamphetamine, and 8,000 counterfeit M-30 oxycodone pills containing fentanyl concealed inside the spare tire. Two Glock pistols were located inside the engine compartment.

Forty-year-old Jeremy Standon, 36-year-old Jaron Stone and 44-year-old Chad Anderson were arrested. Each man faces five federal charges, including Conspiracy to Distribute and Possess with Intent to Distribute Controlled Substances….

Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine and Fentanyl….

Possession of Firearms in a Drug Trafficking Crime…

and Aiding and Abetting.

In addition, Anderson was a federal fugitive from justice.
