Update 4:00 PM

Authorities say the body of a missing Beltrami County man was found this (Wed) morning about three-quarters of a mile from his Puposky (MN) home.

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office says the body of 21-year-old Logan Roy was found around 8:30 AM during a ground search.

Roy was transported to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. No other details were released.

Roy was reported missing around 5:30 PM Sunday. At the time, authorities described him as “a missing, vulnerable adult…possibly armed with a gun.”

Authorities said Roy apparently experienced a mental health crisis and left his home to go for a walk.

Family members later received texts containing statements of self-harm, including comments that he would provoke law enforcement into a situation where they would be forced to take his life.

His family confirmed that at least one loaded handgun was missing from the residence.
