The Grand Forks council got another look at the proposed 2023 budget last night (Monday). The plan calls for a 4.13% increase in employee wages next year.

The $226 million dollar spending plan includes a general fund budget of $45.8 million.

Finance Director Maureen Storstad says the value of the mill is expected to climb 4.52%.  “1.74% of this coming from growth and remainder from revaluation.  This budget still holds the mills flat at 97.02 mills.”

The budget does call for slight increases in sanitation…water… wastewater…and stormwater fees that will cost the average residential customer using 6,000 gallons another $2.67 cents a month in utility fees.

Final budget approval is not expected until mid-September.
