Homeowner safe after McIntosh structure fire

A McIntosh (MN) homeowner escaped injury when his residence caught fire on Sunday evening.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the fire at 220 State Street Southwest was reported at about 8:15 PM.

When deputies arrived, the structure was engulfed, but the homeowner was able to get out safely.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Fosston Police, the McIntosh and Fosston Fire Departments, and Essentia Ambulance all responded.

The State Fire Marshal is investigating.
