ND taxable S & P’s climb in first quarter

North Dakota’s first quarter taxable sales and purchases shot up over 13% compared to the same three months in 2021.
Tax Commissioner Brian Kroshus called the report encouraging adding it’s a reflection of buying activity by consumers and businesses across the state.
S & P’s for January…February…and March totaled $4.7 billion dollars. All 15 major industry sectors reported over the year gains.
Among the state’s largest cities Minot climbed 2.4%….Fargo and Grand Forks registered gains of 1.6%…and Bismarck was up .5%
