NDHP investigating multiple crashes

The westbound lanes of I-94 were closed for over an hour this morning when the driver of a semi reportedly fell asleep at the wheel causing the trailer to overturn. The accident occurred 11 miles east of Jamestown around 11:45 a.m. The 67 year old female driver was transported to a hospital in Valley City with unknown injuries.

An accident between a car and a motor home in Barnes County injured three people – including 2 juveniles. The NDHP says the accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 1 and 46 east of Litchville around 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The 34 year old Lisbon woman driving the car – and the pedestrians ages 12 and 7 – were transported to Mercy Hospital in Valley City. The occupants of the motor home were not injured.

A 42 year old man from Ryder (ND) was killed in an end-over-end crash Friday morning west of Douglas (ND). The NDHP says the driver was approaching a slow moving row crop sprayer and drove into the ditch. The victim was partially ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. Two 13 year old passengers sustained serious injuries.
