No one was injured when a gun went off in a south Grand Forks home last night (Thursday).
Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of South 18th Street around 6:30 p.m. for a discharge of a firearm call. When officers arrived they found a bullet hole in the living room. The round traveled through the floor and struck a cement wall in the basement. Authorities say 38-year old Jill Mudge faces a charge of discharging a firearm within city limits.
The GFPD says they respond to several of these types of calls each year and remind residents to properly check any firearm before handling in a safe manner.
