Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a Missouri River channel in Mandan. Authorities say the 22-year-old Lincoln man was reported missing Sunday afternoon. Items believed to belong to the missing man were found on the ice of the river channel where he was last seen Saturday evening. Dive teams from the Morton County and Burleigh County sheriff’s offices found the man’s body in an area of open water in the channel. There was no immediate word late on whether foul play is suspected. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and an autopsy will be performed. The man has not been identified.
